Lisianthus is a perennial herb of Gentianaceae, which belongs to perennial plant. Lisianthus originated in the limestone zone between the southern United States and Mexico. Modern Platycodon grandiflorum cultivation flourished in Japan.
The plant height of Lisianthus is about 30-100 cm. The stem is upright, the leaves are opposite, broad oval to lanceolate, there is no petiole, the leaf base is slightly embracing the stem, and the leaf surface is blue-green. There are great differences between pistils and stamens of Lisianthus. Bracts are lanceolate, with rich flower colors, which can be divided into monochrome and polychrome, and petals can be divided into single and double petals.
