For animals, running is either for hunting or for escape. The running of cuckoos belongs to the former, and if they run, their speed will catch their prey off guard, even snakes. As a member of the Rhododendron family, Roadrunner is the largest Rhododendron in North America, with a body length of about 50 cm to 60 cm and a weight of half a kilogram to one kilogram.
For Roadrunner, "running" is a piece of cake. After all, the leg muscles are extremely developed, but "flying" is not easy. They can only climb the branch not too high from the ground, and then glide to the ground. The whole process is no more than 10 seconds, not to mention continuous high-distance flight.
