Vassily Kandinsky is one of the great figures of modern art and the founder of modern abstract art in theory and practice. His papers on the spirit of art in 1911, on the problem of form in 1912, point, line to surface in 1923 and on concrete art in 1938 are classic works of abstract art and the revelation of modern abstract art.
Vasili Kandinsky is a Russian born painter and art theorist. Kandinsky, together with pier Mondrian and Malevich, is regarded as the pioneer of abstract art, but there is no doubt that Kandinsky is the most famous. He also co founded a short but influential art group "Blue Knight" with others. Kandinsky's paintings sold for nearly $15 million. Solomon Guggenheim art museum is one of the largest collectors of Kandinsky's works.
