Lime is a kind of Citrus of Rutaceae, belonging to evergreen trees. It is the most representative citrus fruit tree, including sweet orange and lime. The branches are spiny, the leaves are long and oval, the petioles are long, and the wing leaves are developed. The flowers are solitary, clustered or racemose, white and reflexed.
Lime can enhance the toughness of capillaries, soften and protect blood vessels and promote blood circulation. Drinking three glasses of orange juice a day can increase the content of high-quality cholesterol (i.e. high-density lipoprotein) in the body, thus reducing the possibility of heart disease.
