Math is a subject that studies the concepts of quantity, structure, change and spatial model. Through the use of abstraction and logical reasoning, it is generated from calculation, measurement and observation of object shape and motion. Mathematicians extend these concepts in order to formulate new conjectures and establish rigorously derived truths from appropriately selected axioms and definitions.
Math, as an expression of human thinking, reflects people's aggressive will, careful and detailed logical reasoning and the pursuit of perfection. Its basic elements are: logic and intuition, analysis and reasoning, commonness and individuality. Although different traditional schools can emphasize different aspects, it is the interaction of these opposing forces and their comprehensive efforts that constitute the vitality, availability and noble value of mathematical science.
